She talks about suspicious objects and explosives, like a little expert forced to understand things no child should have to know. Layan attended an awareness activity for children, where she colored drawings warning about the dangers of war remnants—trying to understand this threat… and avoid it. But the painful truth is that many children have lost their lives or their limbs because of these remnants, which were deliberately left inside homes—sometimes disguised as toys or food cans.
