يحكي الأسير اللبناني المحرر نبيه عواضة عن فترة مزاملته للشهيد يحيى السنوار في سجن عسقلان، ويذكر أنه كان يمشي حافيًا في السجن، لشعوره بأنه يمشي على أرضه التي هُجِّر منها أهله قسرًا.
بل كان يعتبر وجوده في السجن عودةً جزئيةً إلى الوطن السليب، وحريةً داخل أسوار السجن.

The released Lebanese prisoner Nabih Awadah recounts the period he spent alongside the martyr Yahya Sinwar in Asqalan Prison, mentioning that he would walk barefoot in the prison, feeling as though he were walking on the land from which his family had been forcibly displaced.
