Israeli lawyers used the "self-defense" argument to defend 9 Israeli soldiers who gang-raped a handcuffed Palestinian detainee from Gaza. They claimed the detainee bit the soldiers while he was being transferred from Ofer Prison to Sde Teiman torture camp, injuring one of them.
