A sniper from the Israeli military shot 16-year-old Palestinian teenager Mahmoud al-Durrah while he was collecting firewood in the Gaza Strip in October 2025. He was then detained while wounded and subjected to beatings and abuse for nearly nine hours in Bureij Refugee Camp.
