Palestinian prisoner released after three years in Israeli detention

After three years inside Israeli occupation detention camps, Mohammad Marwan Ataya was released from Israeli occupation prisons into the West Bank yesterday. His abduction should not be seen as incarceration but as time spent in what is known as the slaughterhouses of the fascist occupation. His release comes days after the Israeli Knesset passed the "Prisoners' Execution Law" on March 30, 2026, a law that now hangs over the approximately 10,000 Palestinians still held in Israeli occupation jails, with a 96% military court conviction rate, no meaningful appeal, and a 90-day window to execution. For every family celebrating a return, there are thousands of others still waiting, now with far less certainty about whether the person they are waiting for will come back alive. zaid_ataya98 (IG)
